Shaun Catlin - Director

Becoming a sparky was a second option for me, school was third, and football was first. After dropping out of school and realising I wasn’t going to become a football superstar I fell into electrical work and have never looked back.

My visual pet peeve is employees on their phone, but before I was running a company it would have to be unlevel GPOs—I can definitely see them from my house.

Switchboard safety is something I definitely obsess over. It's usually an overlooked, out-of-sight, out-of-mind section of a house but to us it’s the backbone of your electrical system.

I'm a hands on driven person who enjoys learning, problem solving and taking pride in the work that I do. I have always enjoyed figuring out how things work and that is what drew me to the electrical industry.

Outside of work I enjoy Football, Surfing and Training because they let me bring the same competitive mindset and energy to my job.

I’ve gone from engineering and project work into the electrical trade because I enjoy the practical side. I’m pretty big on learning new things, and new ways to do things better, then immediately putting into practice.
